General Program
Day 1 Montreal / Traditional Camp

• Departure from origin point to Schefferville and then on a hydroplane to the George River and the traditional camp. Night under the tent (dinner only).

Day 2 Traditional Camp

• (Breakfast) General presentation on Aboriginal peoples and the Innu. Visit and interpretation of the camp.
• Motivational activities.
• Exploration of the surrounding area. Preparation of traditional meals (caribou, salmon, etc.). Traditional style lunch and evening meal. Night under the tent.

Days 3 and 4 River Excursions

• (Breakfast) Guided outings with a rabaska (traditional canoe) to archaeological and historic sites. Lunch taken on the river.
• Motivational activities.
• Traditional style evening meal and night under the tent at the secondary camp. Return to the main camp on Day 4.

Day 5 Traditional Camp

• Interpretation of the caribou. Demonstration on the use of animals (caribou, bears, etc.).
• Motivational activities.
• Guided hike on the tundra. Evening in Makusham (banquet and traditional dress). Night under the tent (3 meals provided).

Day 6 George River / Montreal

• Breakfast only. Return on hydroplane from George River to Schefferville and then chartered flight to Montreal.
