Companies who organize vacation stays for public relations purposes or work sessions in a completely different environment are current practice. This client profile perfectly suits our packages designed specifically for companies. Business meetings are conducted inside a specially arranged tent (tables, chairs, and outlets for portable computers). Our package combines time for meetings with Aboriginal activities over a 6 day period.

General Program
Day 1 Montreal / Traditional Camp

  • Departure from origin point to Schefferville and then on a hydroplane to the George River and the traditional camp. Night under the tent (dinner only).

Day 2 Traditional Camp

  • (Breakfast) General presentation on Aboriginal peoples and the Innu. Visit and interpretation of the camp.
  • Group meeting.
  • Exploration of the surrounding area. Preparation of traditional meals (caribou, salmon, etc.). Traditional style lunch and evening meal. Night under the tent.

Day 3 Traditional Camp

  • (Breakfast).
  • Group meeting.
  • Pitching the tent. Excursion on the tundra. Traditional style lunch and evening meal. Night under the tent.

Day 4 River Excursion

  • (Breakfast) Guided outings with a rabaska (traditional canoe) to archaeological and historic sites. Lunch taken on the river.
  • No group meeting.
  • Return to the main camp in the evening. Night under the tent.

Day 5 Traditional Camp

  • Interpretation of the caribou. Demonstration on the use of animals (caribou, bears, etc.).
  • Group meeting.
  • Guided hike on the tundra. Evening in Makusham (banquet and traditional dress). Night under the tent (3 meals provided).

Day 6 George River / Montreal

  • Breakfast only. Return on hydroplane from the George River to Schefferville and then chartered flight to Montreal.

Price doesn’t include:

  • Breakfast on Day 1;
  • Lunches on Days 1 and 6;
  • Dinner on Day 6;
  • Sleeping bag;
  • Personal articles;

  • Tips and gratuities;
  • Service charges and federal and provincial tax, taking into account tax exemptions given to foreign tourists.
  • All transfers to sites;
